Mapletown Suncity

My client had definite ideas when he approached me for designing his triplex house in Maple Town Villa, Hyderabad. Though I am based in Bangalore, I decided to take it up as the project seemed a challenge for me and truly it was.

The client was very particular about his requirements; he had even decided about the colour combinations of each room and was not ready to take no for an answer. So when doing interior design I had to ensure that my designs complemented the colour scheme of each room. Moreover, he had a creative mind and therefore I always had to push my limits to come up with designs that are not just classy but innovative as well.

Well, with an area covering more than 3000 SFT, the triplex house had one bedroom in ground floor (GF) and two bedrooms in the first floor (FF). The front door led to a foyer instead of directly leading to the living area. So I designed a metal Cnc designer grill to separate the foyer from the living area. The living area seemed crammed and the client wanted the room to be spacious and airy. Having done architecture projects before, I demolished a part of the wall and placed clear glass there to bring in more light. On the other half of the wall I designed a TV unit.

For the open dining room, I designed a wood and glass partition as a separator for the living and the dining areas with a small Jaali work in the backdrop to display the artifacts. As for the open kitchen, I used a rectangular shaped Jaali pattern in split levels as a separator for the dining and the kitchen.

Being a triplex house, I designed and customized a huge triangular shaped Chandelier made with MS framework and Alabaster sheet in the double height dining area.

The client wanted a Home Theatre so it was set up in the second floor with proper acoustics. At one corner there is a bar counter with a customised LED mirror light, which adds elegance to the area.

I gave a European touch for the FF living area by using Pine Wood and English Green shade. I also placed swing made of real Pine Wood in between.

This was one such project that gave me the opportunity to raise the bar higher and the client was absolutely delighted with the result.
